Sotomayor to Speak on University of Tulsa Campus

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor will speak with University of Tulsa students and faculty during a fireside chat on campus.

Professor Robert Spoo will moderate Wednesday's event and the audience will have a chance to ask questions — which were submitted ahead of the justice's scheduled talk at the Lorton Performance Center.

Sotomayor is also scheduled to speak Thursday at Oklahoma City University and Friday in Norman at the University of Oklahoma.

Sotomayor joined dissenting justices in the high court's decision earlier this year involving Oklahoma City-based Hobby Lobby.

The court's ruling allows for-profit corporations, including Hobby Lobby, to assert religious objections to paying for contraceptives for women, as required under President Barack Obama's health care law.
