State Lawmakers Get "Organized"

State of Oklahoma

No surprises at “Organization Day” at the State Capitol. Edmond area lawmaker, Republican Senate Greg Treat, was elected to be the Senate President Pro-Tem. 

Over in the State House Atoka Republican Charles McCall was re-elected as the Speaker of the House.

The votes were along party lines and no even close. The Republicans have an overwhelming majority in both chambers.

The legislature will get down to business at the first of next month.
