StoryCorps Rolls into Tulsa

KWGS News File Photo

The popular 'Morning Edition' feature StoryCorps is in Tulsa for the next month to record the stories of average Oklahomans.

Greeted by Mayor Bartlett, StoryCorps opened its mobile recording studio at the Guthrie Green, downtown, late this morning.

To take part in the oral history project, you will need to make anappointment and bring someone to interview you (or that you want to interview). After the session, you will received a CD copy of your interview and, with your permission, it will be filed with the Library of Congress.

StoryCorps Site Coordinator Emily Jansen says it is a wonderful opportunity to capture cherished family stories and voices. This is StoryCorps second visit to Tulsa. It was last here in 2008.

'Morning Edition' features a StoryCorps segment each Friday morning at 7:25 on KWGS.
