Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's show, which first aired back in December, we hear from the author of "The Better World Shopping Guide" (New Society Publishers). The second edition of this up-to-date, wide-ranging, and pocket-sized guidebook has just been published. The book employs an "A to F" scale to rank everything from coffee and clothing to computers and cars in terms of the socially minded and/or environmentally savvy actions of the companies that put out such products. Our guest today is Ellis Jones, who's been teaching people to make a difference in the world for over a decade with books like the guidebook at hand as well as "The Better World Handbook." Jones founded and directs the Better World Network; he also teaches sociology at the University of California, Davis.
