Tulsa Police Involved in Overnight Shooting---One of Several Across the Area

Tulsa Police-File photo

A woman is recovering at a Tulsa hospital after an officer-involved shooting. It took place last night at an apartment complex near 47th and South Fulton.

Police say the woman, known to have mental health issues, lunged at officers with a knife. That is when an officer fired injuring the woman.

This follows two other law enforcement shootings, in other jurisdictions. Both of those were fatal.

A man was shot and killed by a member of the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service at Tahlequah. This after the man had shot and killed his estranged wife.

U.S. Marshals and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were involved in another incident at Henryetta. A 20-year-old man was shot and killed as officers attempted to make an arrest.
