Tulsa County Booking Photo

The Tulsa County District Attorney's office today filed five counts of Lewd Molestation against a Tulsa school teacher. 41-year-old Brian Drabek was formally charged with molesting a young girl from his school.

Drabek was a teacher at Tulsa's Thoreau Demonstration School in South Tulsa. He has been suspended with pay.

He was taken into custody late last month. He is being held on $50,000 bond.  The case involves a 12-year-old girl from the school. He is accused of  sending the child inappropriate texts. Police say he made arrangements for her to visit his home where the abuse allegedly took place.

At the time of his arrests last month, the Thoreau principal sent home this message:

"I wanted to make you aware of a situation that occurred today, so you are not caught off guard if you hear about it o nthe news. This afternoon, Brian Drabek, a 6th grade teacher at Thoreau Demonstration Academy, was arrested by the police on charges of sexual assault. "An investigation is currently underway. At this time we are unable to provide additional details. Mr. Drabekhas been placed on paid suspension until further notice.
