Tulsa Water Quality Report Headed Your Way

Each year the City of Tulsa’s Water & Sewer Department mails to all of its water customers the annual water quality report which is required under the provisions of the federal 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act and its amendments.  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires community water systems to provide customers with a “Consumer Confidence Report” each year.

This year’s report, based on testing conducted throughout 2011, is included with the June utility bills mailed to customers. Anyone who does not receive a copy or wishes to see one can request one from the City’s Customer Care Center (918) 596 2100.  The report can also be viewed online at the following location: http://www.cityoftulsa.org/city-services/water/quality.aspx .

The report shows that Tulsa’s drinking water is safe and of high quality.  The City samples and analyzes its water throughout the year to make sure it meets federal standards and provides safe drinking water for citizens of Tulsa and neighboring communities which buy water from Tulsa.
