Tulsa, OK – Hearing set for man accused of killing
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A preliminary hearing will be held August 7 for a man charged in with murder in the shooting death of a Tulsa businessman.
Terrico Bethel is accused of shooting Neal Sweeney in the head at Retail Fuels Marketing on September 4. The 63-year-old Sweeney died the next day at a Tulsa hospital.
Police say the killing was the result of a dispute with someone with whom Sweeney was doing business. Police Chief Ron Palmer said the motive was a business dispute over the sale of gasoline through Sweeney's company to other individuals.
An affidavit filed in the case says Bethel admitted killing Sweeney on behalf of other people.
