Utah Jazz Player Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 Visited Oklahoma School

One of two Utah Jazz players to test positive for COVID-19 visited an Oklahoma school ahead of the team's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, which was ultimately postponed after a teammate's test came back positive.

Mid-Del School District officials said all-star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell took part in a shoot-around Tuesday night at Del City High School. At that time, Mitchell was not showing symptoms of COVID-19 and had not been tested for the illness.

"We have been advised to have the few individuals who came in contact with him to self-monitor for symptoms at this time," the district said in a statement. "The health and safety of our students and staff, as always, are our greatest concerns."

Mitchell's teammate, center Rudy Gobert, tested positive for COVID-19 shortly before the team's Wednesday night game against the Thunder. That game was postponed moments before tip-off, and the league suspended the season indefinitely later Wednesday night.

Gobert was the first player in the NBA to test positive.
