The snow started falling in Tulsa about daybreak. The temperature dropped from the 40s at 4 a.m. to near freezing by 7 a.m. The Tulsa Weather Office issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the region.

The system extended into northwest Arkansas where amounts of up to 2 inches are forecast.
