This week on Performance Oklahoma: Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble

Since 2003, the Brightmusic Society of Oklahoma has offered Oklahoma audiences a regular season of beloved and diverse chamber music performances presented by an ensemble of musicians largely based in the Oklahoma City metro area along with special guest artists. On Tuesday, September 22nd , the Society marked the start of the 2015-2016 season and its 13th year with a program entitled "From Beethoven to the Beatles." The concert, offered at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in downtown Oklahoma City featured the Septet in E-flat Major, Op 20 of Ludwig van Beethoven, two selections from The Beatles Quintet for clarinet and strings by American clarinetist and composer Sean Osborn and works by Gioachino Rossini, Alexander Glazunov and Svante Henryson. Brightmusic Chamber Ensemble members heard in this performance include clarinetist and co-artistic director Chad Burrow, violinists Gregory Lee and Katrin Stamatis, violist Mark Neumann, cellist Jonathan Ruck and double-bassist George Speed.

This program airs Saturday, October 31st, 8pm on Classical 88.7.
