Live and Local on KWTU: A Note About the Music

Apr 5, 2018

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who supported our Spring Fund Drive on KWTU last month. For me, it was more than just a wonderful opportunity to make the case for supporting Public Radio Tulsa; it was also a chance to play some of my favorite recordings for you on Classical 88.7.

Tulsa Symphony

On the inaugural Classical Tulsa podcast, host Jason Heilman interviews Tulsa Symphony concertmaster Rossitza Goza as she prepares to perform Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Violin Concerto with the orchestra on Sunday, February 4.

February is prime concert season if you are a classical music lover in Tulsa.  And every Friday at noon on Classical 88.7 KWTU, you can delve deeper into these concerts on Classical Tulsa with host Jason Heilman.  This month, Jason features music from upcoming Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Ballet, Tulsa Youth Symphony, and Tulsa Camerata performances:

February 2: Music of Erich Wolfgang Korngold, from the Tulsa Symphony’s February 4 concert
