The day-long Nimrod Conference for Readers and Writers -- presented each autumn by Nimrod International Journal here at the University of Tulsa -- will happen tomorrow, Saturday the 25th, in the Allen Chapman Activity Center on the TU campus. This conference offers workshops in fiction, poetry, memoir, and young adult fantasy, and "tips of the trade" from editors, literary agents, and the like. The event also includes one-on-one editing sessions with various experts as well as readings, presentations, and panel discussions. Our guest on ST is the poet W.S. Di Piero, one of the key speakers at this event, who was the judge for Nimrod's 2014 Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry. Di Piero is himself the winner of the 2012 Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize; he's the author of eleven books of poetry, and his writing has appeared in Poetry, The New Yorker, Threepenny Review, The New York Times Magazine, The New York Times Book Review, The New Republic, and elsewhere.
