On the Next All This Jazz: Spotlighting Live & Extended Performanes

Please tune in for the forthcoming installment of All This Jazz, which begins at 10pm on Public Radio 89.5 on Saturday the 5th. (And we'll re-air the show, as ever, the following evening, Sunday the 6th, at 7pm on Jazz 89.5-2, which is our station's fan-tab-u-lous all-jazz HD Radio channel.)

All This Jazz delivers two solid hours of modern jazz, both recent and classic, every Saturday night --- and there's always a theme for the latter half of our program.

This time around, in an encore presentation of a show that first aired in 2011, that second-hour theme will be Live & Extended Recordings --- outstanding in-the-club or at-the-concert-hall long-form performances, across a range of modern-jazz styles --- and in this regard we'll hear from Duke Ellington, Bobby Hutcherson (shown here), and other greats. Join us.

And Happy Independence Day Weekend, good people.
