Tulsa, OK – As the Congressional debt-reduction "super-committee" currently looks for ways to make significant cuts to our federal budget, it seems all but certain that defense spending --- somehow, at some point --- will be seriously reduced. But how best to do this? Our guest on ST today is Dr. Robert Haffa, who served in the Air Force for 24 years, including a stint in Vietnam, before teaching at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, and elsewhere. He also recently retired from Northrop Grumman Corporation, where he directed that company's Analysis Center, which is works to understand the future path of American defense and security policies. Dr. Haffa recently gave an address at the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations entitled "American Defense: Where We Need to Spend More, Where We Need to Spend Less."
