Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority has approved a 16 percent increase in tolls beginning Aug. 4.

The increase, approved Wednesday, will bring in about $21 million a year.

Tolls produce the only source of revenue for the Turnpike Authority. About half the toll revenue comes from out-of-state motorists.

The increases vary on each toll road and each destination.
