Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa Public Schools will not get a grant from the Gates Foundation. School Officials learned today Tulsa was not chosen for the $56-million grant.
The district wanted the funds to makes changes in the way it recruits and pays the school systems three thousand educators. The district will not seek contributions from local philanthropic sources.
