Tulsa, OK – A large portion of the two-billion gallon Lake Yahola water reservoir is Tulsa is dry ground. That is because the City-of-Tulsa is undertaking a major renovation project at the city's oldest water reservoir near Tulsa's Mohawk Park.

The $820-thousand project got underway earlier this month. Crossland Heavy Construction is the contractor and the work should take five months.

The city's Bob Bledsoe says Crossland is repairing the concrete splash panels that line the lake to prevent leakage. Bledsoe says the work is being done in the fall and winter months because water usage is lower this time of year. He says Tulsa will have plenty of water for this winter by using the other water reservoirs.
