Claremore, OK – OU regents consider budget for Cancer Institute
CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) University of Oklahoma regents are set to vote on increasing a proposed budget for a major project at the university's Health Sciences Center campus in Oklahoma City.
During their meeting Monday in Claremore, regents are scheduled to consider approval of a $133.5 million project budget for the OU Cancer Center. That's $3.5 million more than the amount regents approved for the project during their May meeting.
According to an agenda item for Monday's meeting, the extra money will be for building out the fourth and fifth floors of the Cancer Center's building. Original plans called for those two floors to be shelled.
Regents also will consider a proposed $11 million construction price for a data center to be installed in an existing building on the Health Sciences Center campus.
