Tulsa, Oklahoma – TULSA, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma's two candidates for governor agreed more times than not during a moderated forum on the state ballot questions.
Republican nominee U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin and Democratic Lt. Gov. Jari Askins discussed the 11 ballot measures Wednesday as part of the Rotary Club of Tulsa's gubernatorial forum.
Fallin and Askins each said they oppose State Question 744, which would increase spending on common education. The two also agreed on term limits, legislative redistricting and a measure to "opt out" of the new federal health care law.
The candidates only clearly differed on two of the state questions voter identification and restructuring of the Judicial Nominating Commission.
The two women are vying to replace term-limited Democratic Gov. Brad Henry.
