Former Homeland Chief on Campus at TU

Tulsa, OK – TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge delivered a lecture on energy independence at the University of Tulsa Thursday.

Ridge, the former governor of Pennsylvania, became the country's first homeland security chief in 2003 after the events of September 11, 2001.

He served as Pennsylvania's governor from 1995 to 2001 and was a six-term congressman before that.

Ridge delivered the third annual Chesapeake Energy Lecture hosted by the University of Tulsa College of Law and the National Energy Policy Institute.

Ridge is president and CEO of Ridge Global, a strategic consulting firm.
