Oklahoma City, OK – Fallin's husband changes job to avoid conflicts
MIDWEST CITY (AP) Gov. Mary Fallin's husband has quit his job at a law firm that represents state entities to avoid conflicts of interest.
Wade Christensen told The Oklahoman on Friday that he had left the law firm of Day, Edwards, Propester & Christensen before his wife was sworn in Monday. The law firm's clients include the University of Oklahoma and CompSource Oklahoma, the state's workers' compensation agency.
Christensen specializes in workers compensation cases. He says he resigned because he wanted to avoid even the appearance of impropriety.
Christensen says he's starting his own law firm and will continue representing private employees and businesses, but he will not represent people affiliated with the state in any way.
