Watch Out for Holiday Scams

It's a time of year when many Oklahomans open their hearts and wallets and give to charity. But Tom Bates with the Attorney General's Public Protection Unit warns there are many scam artists who want to take your money for themselves.

Bates says, before giving, check out the charity to find out if they're legitimate. And he says never give personal information on the phone, and don't be afraid to hangup if the caller starts to pressure you.
