Tulsa, OK – Reward offered in fire that hurt Okla. fireman

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A $3,500 reward is being offered for information about an arson fire in which a Tulsa firefighter was seriously injured.

James O'Neal wasn't breathing and had no pulse when he was pulled out of a burning residence in north Tulsa Saturday night.

O'Neal is no longer on a ventilator and can breathe on his own but he remained in intensive care at an area hospital on Tuesday. A $1,500 reward already had been offered for information about the blaze.

On Tuesday, the International Firefighters Association said Mayor Dewey Bartlett donated $500 of his own money; his company is chipping in another $500 and two other businesses are contributing $500 each.

Anyone with information is being asked to call Tulsa's arson hotline.
