3.9 magnitude earthquake recorded in central Oklahoma

SPARKS, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded a 3.9 magnitude earthquake in Lincoln County.

The county sheriff's office says there have been no reports of injuries or damage.

The USGS reports the quake was recorded at 3:12 a.m. Monday between Sparks and Prague — about 45 miles east of Oklahoma City.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans.
