The first-degree murder trial of Terrico Bethel is on hold. He is charged with killing Tulsa businessman Neal Swinney.
Bethel’s attorney became ill and had to be hospitalized. The judge will reschedule the trial. Late August would be the earliest open date.
Bethel stands accused of walking into Swinney's east Tulsa office and shooting him at nearly point-blank range. Prosecutors says Bethel was carrying out a murder for hire contract on Swinney.
