TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A jury has found a man accused of opening fire outside the Tulsa County Courthouse mentally competent to stand trial.

The jury deliberated for less than an hour Wednesday before finding Andrew Dennehy mentally fit.

The decision allows prosecutors to move forward with their case against Dennehy, who is charged in the March 7 shootout outside the Tulsa courthouse that injured two people.

Dennehy's attorney had argued that his client isn't mentally competent to face prosecution on the charges.

A friend, Andy Johnston, testified Tuesday that Dennehy started speaking of conspiracies involving the Free Masons and the Illuminati two years ago, but he didn't indicate any intention to act on those beliefs.
