Investigators say McIntosh Co. fire ruled arson

CHECOTAH, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a fire at a home where a McIntosh County woman was found dead was intentionally set.

Deborah Kelsoe was found dead in her home about 5 miles west of Checotah on Tuesday morning. A spokeswoman with the Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office tells the Muskogee Phoenix that investigators determined the fire was deliberately set.

Authorities are investigating Kelsoe's death as a homicide.

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results to determine Kelsoe's cause of death. McIntosh County Sheriff's Deputy Dewayne Hall says more than one fire was set in Kelsoe's home.

Kelsoe's funeral is set for 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Checotah.
