New Hours for Wildfire Disaster Center in Mannford

MANNFORD, Okla. (AP) — Emergency management officials say the weekend hours of operation are changing at a wildfire disaster assistance center in Mannford.

The center opened Aug. 27 to provide Creek County residents with information about disaster aid available as a result of wildfires that burned in the county between Aug. 3 and Aug. 14.

State and federal officials say the center located next to the library in Mannford will no longer be open on Sundays and that Saturday is the final Saturday it will be open. The center will be open from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday.

The center will remain open from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through Sept. 21.

The center is staffed by state and federal emergency management officials and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
