Man Shot by Brother Showed Violent Signs

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Authorities say a man who was killed by his brother two days after Christmas had shown signs of violence and his mother had filed a protective order against him.

Police say 40-year-old Michael Todd Hall was shot and killed Dec. 27 as he armed himself with a knife and began to attack his mother. Police said Wednesday that Hall's mother filed a protective order and told police her son had become increasingly violent.

The Oklahoman reports (http://is.gd/9cloeA ) that the protective order was issued in September to keep hall away from 71-year-old Elizabeth Ann Dolinar and a juvenile.

Records show Hall threatened to burn Dolinar's house and frequently had vandalized Dolinar's property.

Police say 54-year-old Timothy Trueblood hasn't been charged in the shooting because it appears justifiable.
