For the first time since the 1980s, Jenks is getting a new school superintendent. Longtime superintendent Kirby Lehman is retiring and the Jenks School Board named a replacement last night.
After a search, the school board decided to promote from within. It named Jenks Deputy School Superintendent Stacey Butterfield to the top post. She was selected over three other external candidates.
Lehman retires at the end of June.
