Small Earthquakes Recorded in Central Oklahoma

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey reports two small earthquakes have been recorded in central Oklahoma.

There are no reports of injuries or damage as a result of either quake.

The largest was a magnitude 3.0 quake recorded just before 11 a.m. Thursday about 2 miles northeast of Midwest City. The first was recorded six miles south of Chandler at 9:23 p.m. Wednesday and was measured at magnitude 2.3.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans.
