Historic Light Fixtures Found at State Capitol

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Workers restoring an office on the fifth floor at the state Capitol have found an attic containing historic light fixtures.

The workers were relocating computer cables when a Senate staff member found an opening to attic space. A search of the space turned up several antique light fixtures that have been determined to have been in the Senate chamber when the building was completed in 1917.

The room was once a Senate committee room that was converted into office space.
