CHANDLER, Okla. (AP) — A co-defendant of a former Lincoln County judge who faces multiple felony charges has pleaded guilty as part of a plea deal.
The Oklahoma Attorney General's office said Friday that Joshua Anderson pleaded guilty to felony charges of being an accessory to embezzlement and delivery of a forged instrument. Anderson was charged with trying to help former Judge Craig Key by covering up alleged embezzlement and forgery by Key.
A grand jury indictment says Key embezzled more than $70,000 from two clients while working as an attorney. The indictment says Key was supposed to use the money to pay his clients' medical bills but instead used it for other purposes — and that he forged documents.
Key's attorney says the ex-judge is not guilty.
