Tulsa Officer Busted for Prostitution

Tulsa police and the State Bureau of Narcotics say an officer has been arrested on a charge  he tried to engaged in prostitution.

Police Corporal David Turner was booked into the Tulsa County  Jail  on possession of a firearm in commission of a felony and engaging in prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church. He was released  after posting $11,500 bond.

A police report said Turner was arrested at a hotel, near 11th and Garnett,  during an undercover sting conducted by the TPS and the drug bureau. He is accused offering a female undercover officer $40 for a sex act..

The 52-year-old from Broken Arrow has been with the Tulsa Police Department since 1996 and was placed on administrative leave.
