Just blocks away from the Gilcrease Division Police Station, a child is struck by a car while walking to school at day-break.
The incident took place about 7 a.m. this morning in the 2800-block of Mohawk Boulevard. That location is near the Highway 75 overpass on Mohawk.
Police say the nine-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition for emergency treatment.
