Oklahoma Prosecutor Puts Drug Abuse Video Online

Steidley's office

CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) — A prosecutor in northeastern Oklahoma is making available online a video that highlights trends in student drug and alcohol abuse.

District Attorney Janice Steidley says the video is for anyone who wants to use it to raise awareness in classroom, church or community meetings. She said it's targeted at parents of students in Craig, Rogers and Mayes counties where she is the prosecutor.

The video can be found at www.OKDistrict12.org .

Its release follows a series of seminars put on for the parents to educate them about current drug and alcohol trends.

The sessions focused on the growing problem involving the sale and use of the synthetic drug K2, which can have a marijuana-like effect on users and cause them to become unpredictable and aggressive.
