Fire Breaks Out at Woodward Industrial Facility

KWGS Map

WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say no injuries have been reported after a large fire broke out at an industrial facility in Woodward.

Oklahoma City television station KWTV reports that three workers were on site at Basic Sediments and Waste Solutions when several tanks exploded early Wednesday. Authorities say all three workers escaped without injury.

Woodward County Emergency Management Director Matt Lehenbauer says it appears a mechanical device malfunctioned and started the fire.

Authorities say the fire is contained but crews are allowing the blaze to burn itself out, which could take several hours.
