In several recent cases, Oklahoma law officers have been arrested or investigated for everything from murder to rape to DUI. Michael Brose, Director of Mental Health Association Oklahoma, agrees law men and women, who are public figures, are held to high standards. Then there’s the life or death job pressure.
Brose says many larger metro departments provide help through employee assistance programs, but some officers are reluctant to seek that help, afraid it will adversely affect their careers or reputations.
