Higher Education Getting Higher at OSU

Oklahoma State University

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Board of Regents for Oklahoma State University and the A and M Colleges has voted to increase tuition across all of OSU's five branch campuses.

The hike was approved during a regents meeting Friday in Tulsa. The increases, along with a proposed operating budget of $1.3 billion for the OSU system, now goes to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for approval.

If approved, in-state undergraduates on the main Stillwater campus would see a 4.5 percent increase — raising the cost of tuition by $336. Tuition for nonresident undergraduates would rise by 4.7 percent, or $951 per year.

In-state graduate students would see their tuition go up by 4.8 percent, or $329 per year, while nonresident graduate students would see a 4.5 percent increase, or $941 per year.
