OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation Department of Health has announced plans for an emergency room expansion at the MCN Medical Center in Okmulgee.
According to a press release, the expansion will add about 7,400 square feet to the current emergency room space. The project, which was announced Thursday, will add 18 rooms for uses including trauma and fast-track treatment.
The release says the current facility operates in about 4,900 square feet of space with one large trauma room divided by a curtain.
The project will also create a covered ambulance entrance to accommodate multiple ambulances at one time.
