PERRY, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey has recorded two small earthquakes in north-central Oklahoma.
The largest was a 3.8 magnitude quake that was recorded at 12:19 a.m. Friday 12 miles west of Perry, about 55 miles north of Oklahoma City. The second was a magnitude 3.1 quake at 5:43 a.m. 11 miles southeast of Medford, about 85 miles north of Oklahoma City.
No injuries or damage were reported.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and that damage is not likely in quakes below magnitude 4.0.
