LAWTON, Okla. (AP) — A Cyril man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of an Elgin man who was injected with methamphetamine while he was unconscious.
Court records show 52-year-old Michael Ball pleaded guilty Friday in Comanche County District Court to both the manslaughter charge and to possession of a controlled dangerous drug. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Ball was charged in connection with the August 2014 death of Chester Morris the Third. Investigators say Morris was unconscious after being injected with heroine when he was later injected with meth.
The man suspected of injecting the methamphetamine into Morris remains jailed pending trial on charges of manslaughter and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
