Residents listened and often asked pointed questions regarding the proposed move of the Iron Gate Food Kitchen and Pantry to a new location. An informational meeting was held last night.
The food-for-the-hungry-service is housed now at a downtown church. It wants to move to an new location at 3rd and Peoria. The building was originally the home of Hanna Lumber. Iron Gate is proposing a total renovation of the property. However, residents in the Pearl District are concerned the move would have a negative impact on their property values.
The Tulsa Board of Adjustment will take up the issue next Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
