OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — Muscogee Creek Nation Principal Chief James Floyd plans to discuss the state of the tribe in an address this weekend.

Floyd will speak to tribal citizens Saturday at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Mound Building in Okmulgee.

The tribe says this year's State of the Nation address will include a review of its economic development plans and delivery of services to citizens.

Floyd won the general election last year by defeating George Tiger. Floyd is the former director of the Veterans Administration's Jack C. Montgomery Medical Center and the Ernest Childers Clinic
