Tulsa Public Schools teachers start the 2016-2017 school year with two days of professional learning during the Tulsa Teacher Institute on August 17 and 18.
Today, all 2,800 teachers in the district gather at the Cox Center in Downtown Tulsa to focus on creating strong school cultures by building relationships and implementing best practices for classroom management.
On Thursday, the conference will continue with break-out sessions at various school and district buildings. Teachers will learn in groups based on grade level and subject area, and they will explore new resources and powerful strategies for teaching and learning that will prepare students for college, careers and life.
