TSet Questioned at State Capitol

State lawmakers quiz the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust about its expenditures. The agency came under fire last spring for offering former Corporation Commissioner Patrice Douglas $250,000-a-year to run the agency.

TSet Board Chair Don Millican says they should have been more sensitive to the state’s financial plight when setting the salary. He says they have now refocused.

Another candidate, John Woods, was selected earlier this month as the TSet Director, at a much lower salary.
