The Creek County Sheriff's Office says a 32-year-old woman is believed to have shot and killed her 6-year-old son then killed herself.
The sheriff's office said in a news release to reporters Wednesday that Jennifer Renee Dickerson and Jacob Dickerson were found dead in a bed Tuesday in their home near Sapulpa.
Deputies were called to the home after Jacob Dickerson did not go to school and family members said they were unable to contact Jennifer Dickerson.
The release says it appears both died of single gunshot wounds and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.
