Fire Danger Up Again Today

Oklahoma Forestry Service

It could be another rough wildfire day across northeast Oklahoma. Gusty winds will fan any flames that get started. The National Weather Service says winds could gust to 20 mph during the day today.

Yesterday, fire fighters stayed busy along the Tulsa/Okmulgee County line. A wild fire, possibly started by a welder’s torch, burned over 900 acres. It was most rural area. No homes were damaged, but several hundred hay bales caught fire.
