One person is dead at Murphy in Mayes County. The body was discovered after firefighters put out a blaze in a home on Wednesday.
The State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire. It is unknown, at this point, if the victim was a man or woman. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Murphy is east of Chouteau near Spring Creek and the Cedar Crest County Club.
